Vediamo 5.00.5 (Mercedes Vediamo Software) is used by the plant engineers to develop diagnosis and engineering software, which is now used by Xentry and DAS, is based on the Mercedes Benz super engineering version developed and delivered to the general customer service dealers’ use.

Vediamo - the advanced diagnostic application for engines- is a software system for electronic control unit (ECU) diagnostics which is integrated in the CAESAR/DIOGENES process chain. It allows diagnostics on any ECU over K-line as well as CAN, and encompasses all established protocols from RTMD+, MBISO, KWFB, KW2000 to UDS. Despite its name, Vediamo is no longer limited only to engine ECUs.

Vediamo is based on the Mercedes-Benz DCDI standard communication platform CAESAR and hence supports all communication hardware such as, e.g., Part C, Part A, Part Y, etc. DIOGENES data, used by all diagnostics applications in the company and which can be drawn from the central TAMINO data base, can be used as diagnostics data.

Vediamo V05.00.05 vs. Vediamo V4.002 The V4.00 version that used COMPACT 3 while SDconnect C4 does not support the ODX file. The latest V5.00.05 SD Connect supports ODX file and SD connects speed is relatively stable.

Vediamo vs. Xentry/DAS

Mercedes vediamo i's similar in purpose to Xentry but can do far more detailed variant coding, without the need to have an online connection to Daimler AG servers for authorization. In Xentry, variant coding is restricted, and even then once authorization is granted, the coding options are limited in comparison to Vediamo. Spend some time looking around on the internet for a download link for it, you'll also need to have it activated with your hardware ID, etc.

I have Vediamo installed along with Xentry 2016/03, but no manual for it, my MB SD C4 multiplexer connects with Vediamo just fine.
